Application deadline

The MSc program is open for applications from 01 November to 15 December 2011 (first application period) and from 01 March to 15 April 2012 (second application period). Applications for a start of the studies in the autumn semester 2012 have to be sent within these periods to either the ETH Zurich or the EPF Lausanne. Students from abroad who need a visa for Switzerland are advised to send their documents in the first period.

The first (autumn) semester of the MSc in Nuclear Engineering takes place at EPFL. The second (spring) semester  takes place at ETH Zurich. The Master’s thesis in the third semester is carried out at a lab of the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, at EPFL or at ETH Zurich.

The standard start of the master program in Nuclear Engineering is in the autumn semester. In special cases, students may start in the spring semester if the admission committee requires to take additional courses to fulfill the admission requirements.
