The Nuclear Engineering Master's program leads to the title "Master of Science EPF-ETH in Nuclear Engineering", granted jointly by EPFL and ETH Zurich. Regardless of which institution you apply through, all students study in one cohort according to the same curriculum.
You study in two locations, staying at EPFL in Lausanne for the first (autumn) semester and at ETH Zurich in the second (spring) semester. The Master’s thesis in the third semester is carried out at a lab of the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, at EPFL or at ETH Zurich.
A mobility scholarship is provided to compensate for the additional expenses incurred by the necessity to change accommodation during the Master's program.
The program begins yearly in the Autumn Semester (mid-September). Bachelor degree holders, who have to obtain additional credits from Bachelor courses in order to fulfil the admission requirements, may register for the program also in the Spring Semester in order to obtain the missing credit points and be able to start with the Master’s courses in autumn.
