The semester project (8 credits) introduces you to research and development in nuclear engineering. It builds largely upon the scientific and technical knowledge you acquire during the first semester and serves as preparation for carrying out the Master’s research project.
Your tutor proposes the project topic and you and the responsible professor (if different from the tutor) elaborate the project plan. The overall execution of the semester project is supervised by the responsible professor.
The work entailed by the semester project is one day per week during the third semester. Successfully completing the semester project is a pre-condition for embarking upon your Master’s research project.
