How to Apply?

Application deadline

The MSc program is open for applications from 01 November to 15 December 2011 (first application period) and from 01 March to 15 April 2012 (second application period). Applications for a start of the studies in the autumn semester 2012 have to be sent within these periods to either the ETH Zurich or the EPF Lausanne. Students from abroad who need a visa for Switzerland are advised to send their documents in the first period.

The joint Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering program has a strongly interdisciplinary nature and you can apply to the program on the basis of a Bachelor degree in a broad range of basic and engineering sciences, for example:

Chemical Engineering
Chemistry
Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
Materials Science
Mathematics
Mechanical Engineering
Physics

The evaluation of your Bachelor degree is made based on the corresponding Bachelor of Science degree from EPFL or ETH Zurich.

Admission is made based on an individual evaluation of your application
file (évaluation
sur dossier) to establish whether you have sufficient prerequisite courses in your Bachelor
degree (see the Requirement Profile).

Students whose Bachelor degree does not fully meet the Requirement Profile can be admitted with the requirement to obtain additional credits from Bachelor courses.
